The name of the Association would be “Mar Baselios Medical Mission Association”. The name Mar Baselios in remembrance of St. Mar Eldho Baselios who had been laid to rest at the Mar Thoma Cheriya Pally, Kothamangalam. The Memorandum of the Association should be registered under The Travancore Cochin Literacy, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII. This should be made with effect from January 1” 1977. The registered office of this Association would be at Kothamangalam in Ernakulam District, Kothamangalam Taluk, Kothamangalam Village unless otherwise determined. The ownership of this Association vests with the Mar Thoma Cheriya Pally Kothamangalam.

Procurement of properties and funds for creating this Association on behalf of Mar Thoma Cheriya Pally. Spreading of Christian Love pronounced by Lord Jesus Christ in both Missionary and Health services. Establish Hospitals, Dispensaries, Health Service Centers, Churches, Medical Educational Institutes such as Medical Colleges, Dental Colleges, Ayurvedic, Pharmacy, Paramedical, Nursing institutions etc. providing diploma, degree, post graduation, research certificates to the students of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Community and also to the public at large without any distinction in religion/caste/creed and to provide health services by installing modern facilities. Establish and Manage buildings for the benefit of those who have the genuine willingness for health services such as doctors, midwives, nurses, medicine manufacturers, dieticians, Laboratory technicians etc. and to provide financial grants/subsidies for the trainees and those others who deserve it.
Establishment of Charitable Institutes for the destitute and deserving. Appointment of qualified, dedicated, objective motivated and service oriented doctors, Midwives, nurses, instructors, teachers, clerks, attender’s etc. at appropriate levels. Retrieving donations towards the Capital of the Association. Appointment of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Advisors, Committees for the smooth and efficient functioning of the Association. Purchase/rent properties, buildings, gardens, equipment’s, machinery’s, vehicles etc. or to receive/obtain by donations/grants and to manage/administer/sell partially/fully for the exclusive benefit of the Association. Associate along with other organizations having the same and similar functioning objectives by joining/absorbing them. Construct buildings, maintain, renovate, and carry out other constructive works such as Electrification, water supply, drainage etc. Provide the properties and buildings of the Association on rent. Stamping, Copyrighting, Managing the medical publications for the Association. Documenting, receiving, accepting promissory notes, bill of exchanges, other transferable documents on behalf of the Association. Providing medicines to the needy consulting patients. Doing such other necessary and required activities within the meaning of the charitable institutes without any profit motive. The management is vested with the following members of the Governing board whose Name, address and occupation are mentioned, on behalf of the Mar Thoma Cheriya Pally.The particulars of the same is attested and annexed hereto.
As the Association is not for profit, the daily balances of the Association and its institutes should be utilized only for the objectives mentioned in the Memorandum. But this limitation is not applicable for purposes such as repayment of deposits and loans, travelling expenses for the members of the Board for attending the Board meetings, wages/salaries and honorary allowances for the management/staffs, payment of interest with in the limit of 12% for the loans taken from its members, payment of rent for the institutions/buildings taken by the Association
If it is decided to liquidate the Association by the Governing Board, lawful sanction of the General Body Meeting shall be obtained.
The ordinary members of the Board of Governors of this Association consist of, 36 members of the Managing Committee including the Vicar of the Marthoma Cheriya Pally. The Asst. Vicars of the said Church can also participate in the meeting of the Governing Board. But the voting powers rest only with the above mentioned 36 members. Staffs who are receiving any wage/salary from the Association are not eligible to become an ordinary Member.
